Congregational Care
This ministry consists of members of our congregation who want to offer companionship, support and practical assistance to fellow members of our church family. In times of illness, grief, disability or other situations we may be able to help with concrete needs: a meal, a phone call, a ride. Requests are usually made via email to volunteers who want to be notified when a need arises. It is an all voluntary ministry with an emphasis on providing a helping hand to those in need. For more information email Sandy Chavez.
Circle of Prayer
Prayer is at the heart of the life of the congregation. This group forms a circle around all who need God’s powerful love and peaceful presence, in our faith community, and in the community and the world. It can be a very encouraging experience to have others around you pray for you. You can submit your prayer request by filling out a prayer card during Sunday worship or going to the “prayer request” tab on the lower left of the homepage. As a member of the FCCA community, you can receive the weekly prayer updates via email and pray with the Circle of Prayer. For more information email Barbara Regan.
Prayer Shawl Ministry
This team works alongside the Circle of Prayer and Congregational Care Ministries knitting or crocheting soft and colorful shawls often referred to as “portable hugs.” This ministry creates a communal response to a personal need, offering comfort and caring in times of hardship and sorrow, or by marking a special occasion with joy and celebration. The shawls are blessed before gifting by being displayed on the chancel during Sunday service. For more information email Neil Genson.
