This week, Rev. Lacey Hunter requested to be released from their call as Associate Minister of Faith Formation. This unexpected news touches our community deeply, and we hold space in prayer together during this change in spiritual leadership.
Rev. Lacey expressed gratitude, saying “We have grown, inspired and shaped one another in many ways. I am honored to have journeyed with you through seasons of significant change and visioning.” They will be moving to Eastern Pennsylvania this fall to join Kirkridge Retreat and Study Center.
We are beginning to plan for our children’s and youth ministries moving forward. The Church Council will reach out to gather community input to discern the longer-term path.
On September 29, we will gather for Rev. Lacey’s Service of Release. The annual church picnic that day will be an opportunity for more informal goodbyes on Rev. Lacey’s last day with us.
