Celebrate our care and commitment to all of creation at First Congregational Church of Alameda’s “Blessing of the Animals” service on Sunday October 8, 10:30am.
In the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, we will put our paws, fins, and feathers together as we gather in our church courtyard and bless all Beloved Creatures. Well-behaved pets, big and small, are invited to attend on leashes, in carriers and cages, etc.
A special offering will be collected with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter.
The courtyard is located on Central Ave. between Chestnut and Lafayette streets and is wheelchair accessible.
