Our March Communion offering will be designated for a local nonprofit organization, Shelter in Peace. This Alameda-based, faith-based organization started in 2017 to help provide safe, free or low-cost transitional housing for immigrants, refugees and low-income residents by negotiating with landlords to provide housing at reduced rents. Our church has partnered with Shelter in Peace to accompany two families who currently live in transitional housing provided by the organization. We are excited to announce that we will have Anna Rossi, the founder of Shelter in Peace, speak during our service of worship on March 3 to explain what her organization does. Special opportunity: After church on March 3, all are cordially invited to a Fellowship Time meet & greet with Anna upstairs in the gallery (the Fellowship Hall will be functioning as an Alameda County Vote Center). She will be able to talk more in depth about the mission of her organization and answer our questions.
